About MRCA, Testimonial, Treatments

Acupuncture has been in continual use as a powerfully effective form of healthcare for at least 3,000 years. Some estimates date Acupuncture’s origins to be over 5,000 years old. At least a third of the world uses it as healthcare.
Acupuncture is simple, and powerful. It helps the body to return to balance. The Chinese discovered, long ago, a series of pathways and acupuncture points that have an influence over the functions of other parts of not just the body, but also the sense of mental and emotional well being.

By using extremely fine, disposable, stainless steel needles, placed into carefully selected points, the acupuncturist coaxes subtle changes in the body. This brings about changes in body function, and encourages the body toward homeostatic balance.

To maximize the benefits of acupuncture, a consistent and gradual approach is essential. A single visit to the gym does not yield lasting results, nor does sporadic participation in martial arts lead to mastery. Acupuncture follows a similar logic. It’s not uncommon for a single session to produce life-altering effects. However, for those effects to endure, we suggest scheduling a series of sessions in a well-thought-out manner.

Community acupuncture is a model of acupuncture practice that aims to make acupuncture treatments more accessible and affordable to a wider range of people:

  1. Lower Cost: Community acupuncture typically offers treatments at a reduced cost compared to traditional, one-on-one acupuncture sessions. This makes acupuncture more affordable for individuals who may have financial constraints.
  2. Sliding Scale Fees: Many community acupuncture clinics operate on a sliding scale fee structure. Patients can choose to pay within a range that aligns with their financial means, allowing for greater affordability.
  3. Frequent Sessions: The affordability and accessibility of community acupuncture often encourage patients to attend sessions more frequently, promoting better results for chronic conditions.
  4. Inclusivity: Community acupuncture is often seen as a way to democratize access to acupuncture, making it available to a broader demographic, including those who might not have considered acupuncture due to cost barriers.

The licensed acupuncturists here at MRCA are experienced in providing treatments that address a wide range of health concerns. Our emphasis is on making acupuncture more accessible, affordable, and inclusive while maintaining its effectiveness as a holistic healing modality.

A sliding scale allows people to spend what they can truly afford, instead of having to sacrifice their well being for the sake of other priorities in life. It also allows more people to come for treatment, and to come more often.  Increased frequency allows patients to really get the true benefit of acupuncture, and not have to stop coming before they are fully well.

Acupuncture does far more than just treat “conditions”, it treats people! It helps the body recover balance and restores and enhances the body’s own natural healing ability. But, since people always ask, the World Health Organization recognizes the use of acupuncture in treating a wide range of conditions.

Hello Dave, the treatment was great.  More relaxing than any spa/massage I have been to and have recommended it to a few colleagues at work. was very zen for the rest of the day and feel less stressed since.  I have noticed a wider range of motion in my neck and less tension in my lower back. You mentioned I may have emotional dreams – well Monday night in my sleep I was dreaming I was playing football and knocked the water glass off of my nightstand as I was reaching to catch a pass in my dream.  Not quite an “emotional” dream, but I never do anything like that in my sleep so I must have been very relaxed.

Hello Dave-Hope all is well with you and your family and staff. I haven’t forgotten you and I want to say Thank You for the fine treatment. I am doing about 97% better than when I met you in September of 2016. I can reach up and behind me without all the pain I had been having and I have been recommending you to everyone I know and meet. I will be in touch with any future ailments. (the gua sha and the needle in the toe was the breakthrough) Take care!

Thank you so much for checking in. I had an amazing experience there. When I first arrived I could hardly stand up straight and was in excruciating pain. My back instantly felt better after Jess worked on me but was still a little sore. The next day was even better and now I have no pain. Jess called me to follow up and we scheduled another visit. I highly recommend her and this practice. This was my first time having acupuncture and I loved it.
Thanks for checking in!
